Thomas Mosgaard is a biologist, and he has a very deep knowledge regarding the behaviour of the sea trout and its holding spots. He has great experience catching sea trout in rivers, and we tag along as he fishes a number of smaller rivers in Denmark. Thomas especially puts emphasis on how to catch sea trout during the day hours – but we are invited along for some evening- and night fishing too. We fish up and down the rivers while Thomas tells us about fishing techniques and the holding spots that we come across.
The film is about fishing spoons, spinners and wobblers – and how to fish them most effectively. We see a lot of dramatic and hectic fights with beautiful sea trout – and we are there when Thomas catches a strong salmon. 
It is a film filled with great tips and facts, intense fights and beautiful scenery along the rivers.

Thomas Mosgaard ist Biologe, und er hat eine weitreichende Kenntnis des Verhaltens und der Standplätze von Meerforellen. Er hat eine lange Erfahrung mit dem Fang von Meerforellen in Auen. Wir sind dabei, wenn er eine Reihe kleinerer Auen in Westjütland befischt. Thomas legt sein Hauptaugenmerk auf den Fang von Meerforellen am Tage - aber wir folgen ihm auch bei der Abend- und Nachfischerei. Wir fischen flussauf und -abwärts an den Auen, während Thomas von der Technik und den Standplätzen erzählt, auf die wir unterwegs treffen.
Der Film handelt vom Angeln mit Blinkern, Spinnern und Wobblern - und wie man sie am effektivsten fischt. Wir sehen viele dramatische und hektische Fänge von tollen Meerforellen - und wir sind auch direkt dabei, wenn Thomas einen starken Lachs fängt.
